It offers 31 online exhibitions with 429 images and 15 videos on the cultures of ethnic groups in Viet Nam.
According to the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), “Vibrant Viet Nam” will help people explore the culture, people and biodiversity of Viet Nam–a country which is home to 54 ethnic groups.
“Vibrant Viet Nam” is another effort by Google to honor and promote the natural landscape, cultural heritage, and diversity of the Vietnamese ethnic community to the global audience.
Director of the Tourism Information Centre under the VNAT Hoang Quoc Hoa expressed his hope to receive support from Google in implementing creative projects to bring the image of Viet Nam closer to friends and partners around the world in the future.
Previously, Google has implemented several promotional projects about Viet Nam such as “Google Arts and Culture-Wonders of Viet Nam” and “Google Adventure Viet Nam”.
As of July 2024, international arrivals to Viet Nam reached nearly 10 million, an increase of 51 per cent compared to the same period last year and 1.9 per cent higher than in 2019, before COVID-19 pandemic, according to the latest report from the General Statistics Office of Viet Nam.
The tourism industry recorded strong growth in the number of visitors from Europe, with a 47.3 per cent increase. Other markets also saw high growth, such as Asia with 57.1 per cent (mainly due to the increase in Chinese visitors), Australia with 27.3 per cent and the Americas with 9.7 per cent.
The growth is attributed to the favorable visa policies and efforts by management agencies and tourist businesses and localities in promoting and promoting tourism./.
