Da Nang named an inspiring destination for international travellers in 2027

In its September edition, travel guide publisher Lonely Planet unveiled its Best in Travel 2027, featuring 50 destinations and travel experiences expected to inspire travellers in the year ahead.

Da Nang, a coastal city in central Vietnam, is highlighted for its mountains, long beaches within easy reach of the city centre, laid-back atmosphere and distinctive cuisine. The Son Tra Peninsula offers a peaceful natural setting and panoramic sea views.

The city also serves as a convenient base for trips to three UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Complex of Hue Monuments, the My Son Sanctuary and the ancient town of Hoi An.
